Where Families Play

New functionality and improvements released!

We have just released an important update to Glubble for Families. We have added new functionality that allows parents to manage what web sites children can have access to.

Improvements and new functionality for the Glubble Collections Library

The interface for managing Glubble Collections has become simpler. You already had the ability to activate or de-active an entire collection in one click. However, if you want more flexibility we have implemented controls that allow you to activate or de-activate collections per child. You can access these controls by clicking on a Glubble Collection and viewing the content inside the Collection. You will now see icons for you children there and simple controls to activate or de-activate this collection per child (see image below).

The Glubble Collections Library now gives you a much improved overview of all collections. It has specific icons for Collections that are de-activated (the blue Padlock), or Collections that you activate for some of your children (The blue Padlock with a smiling child next to it (see image below).

We have taken out the new Glubble collections that are published on a regular basis by the Glubble team, and added those to the main Collections tab on your Family Page. You can see all new collections in one overview, and activate them for your children if you find the collection appropriate (see image below).

New functionality: A whitelist of sites for each of your children

We have created new functionality that allows you to create and manage separate white lists for each of your children. This gives you more flexibility and allows you to create access to web sites that meet the needs of each individual child. For example, you may let an older child visit a specific game site, while you may find that same site less appropriate for a younger child. Glubble lets you decide. After all, you are the expert on what is appropriate for your children (see image below).

Improved login and registration process

The registration and login process for Glubble was a bit confusing for some users. We are asking not only for you to identify yourself as a user, but we also ask you what family you belong to. The reason for this is that Glubble for Families has introduced a private Family page. In order for family members to log into that page we need to know the address of that page (you could be part of more than one family).
We have simplified this a little by removing the need for you to remember the entire web page address. Instead we create a Family ID for you when you register, and we provide better feedback on registration what your Family ID is. We also send you better e-mail confirmation with details how to log in. As a result you can now simply go to www.glubble.com/Family-id and there you can log into your family page (see images below).

We hope that the new functionality and the improvements will give you a better experience with Glubble for Families. Let us know what you think!
